Obituary of John D Kiley

John D Kiley, 73, of Peabody, died Monday morning at the Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Roberta (Fitzhenry) Kiley. Born in Oconto, WI, he was the son of the late John Kiley and Loretta (Claas) (Kiley) Hollenback. He was raised and educated in Wisconsin, later lived in Saugus for 43 years and has spent the last 7 years living in Peabody. He served with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and later was employed for over 25 years as a mechanical inspector for General Electric in Lynn. He also was a Town Meeting Member in Precinct 9 in Saugus. He is survive by his three daughters, Debra K Grazio and her husband Jay of Gainesville, VA, Sandra M Kiley Davis and her husband Mike of Stoughton, and Linda E. Knaian and her husband Ara of Newton, also survived by his three brothers, Jerome Kiley of Marshall, WI, Neill Kiley of Sunprairie WI, and Steven Hollenback of Ripon, WI, his sister, Dorothy Bednarek of Princeton, WI and by his five grandchildren, Joey, Lisa, Mikayla, Aaron, and Abigail. He was predeceased by his two still born babies, Laurie A Kiley and Deidre J Kiley. Following cremation, his Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn. Expressions of sympathy can be made in his name to a charity of one’s choice.
