Obituary of Mary (Chebator) Karpicz

Mary Patricia (Chebator) Karpicz, 91, of Peabody, Ma., Died Tuesday at the Lions Manor Nursing Home in Cumberland, Md, after A long illness. She was the wife of Joseph P. Karpicz. She was born in Peabody on October 18, 1911, the daughter of the late Peter and Marcella Chebator and had resided in Peabody most of her life. She had been employed at the former A.C. Lawrence Leather Co., Peabody And later at the former Jordan Marsh Company at the Northshore Mall. She then Worked at the former Whiting Milk Company in Marblehead prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody and was the troopmaster of The Brownies and Girl Scouts of St. Anns. She also was a member of the Peabody Garden Club for many years. Surviving her besides her husband of Peabody are a son, Joseph Karpicz of Worcester, Ma., , a daughter, Isabel Plowright of Romney, W.VA.,4 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Eldona Chebator of Randolph, Ma. And Isabel Chebator of Putnam, Ct., and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at the family Lot in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St.. West Peabody.
