Obituary of Richard I. Marsh

Richard I. Marsh, 80, of Salem, MA died peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, after a short illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Ruth E. (Pasquale) Marsh. He was born in Newport, NH, on January 10, 1935, the son of the late Charles W. and Nettie E. (Cutting) Marsh and was raised and educated in Nahant, MA.. Following his marriage, he resided in Peabody where he raised his family and moved to North Conway, NH after his retirement. He later returned to the North Shore to be closer to family. Richard had been employed with the Bull Computer and Honeywell Company for 28 years prior to his retirement in 1995. He then worked in the restaurant field, first with Rommies restaurant in Danvers for 10 years and then at the White Mountain Hotel in North Conway, NH for five years. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean War. His most precious time was being with his family. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Maryann Marsh of Salem and Kathleen and Michael McMahan of Marblehead, his cherished grandchildren, Allison Kate and Mallory Rose Mc Mahon both of Marblehead, a brother, John Marsh of Wakefield, MA and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Margaret Curdo, Ernest and James Marsh, Anna LeBlanc and Carolyn Lauzan. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility with a Service at 7:30 PM.
