Obituary of Vivian (Kronteres) Pappas

Vivian (Kronteres) Pappas PEABODY Vivian (Kronteres) Pappas, 79, beloved wife of the late William C. Pappas, died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Thursday surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 4, 1926 in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dena Kronteres. She was a lifelong Peabody resident. She attended Peabody schools and graduated from Peabody High School. Mrs. Pappas was employed by the City of Peabody, serving as the Head Cook for the Cafeteria for the Peabody elementary schools. She was a talented cook, enjoyed reading, was an active member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody, loved sharing time and social gatherings with her family and friends, and was know for her positive outlook on life and will be missed by her family and all the lives she touched. She is survived by: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles W. & Patricia Bettencourt Pappas of Peabody and Nicholas Pappas of Venice, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Dena & George Speliotis of Tewksbury; two grandchildren, William C. Pappas of Orlando, FL and Peter Speliotis of Tewksbury, four great-grandchildren; a sister, Christine McLaughlin of Naples, FL, and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 AM in St. Vasilios Church in Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vasilios Altar Fund, 7 Paleologos St., Peabody, MA 01960.
