Obituary of Michael J. Milonopoulos
Michael J. Milonopoulos PEABODY – Michael J. Milonopoulos, 66, husband of the late Diane (Wheeler) Milonopoulos, died peacefully at his home on Saturday October 24, 2015, while in the comforting presence of his family, following an extended illness. Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Nicolas and Georgia (Copanas) Milonopoulos. He grew up there, living in Somerville and Cambridge most of his life. He lived in Peabody for a few years. Mr. Milonopoulos was a Store Manager at several Mobil Gas Stations and Convenience Stores around the Boston area. Michael enjoyed bowling, and often was in leagues at Town Line in Malden/Saugus. He also enjoyed gaming adventures at Foxwoods and Twin River Casinos. He is survived by a daughter Cindy Sheldon & her husband Stephen of Peabody; two sons, Steven Milonopoulos of Somerville and Peter Milonopoulos of Salem; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother Tony Milonopoulos of West Roxbury; a sister Sophia Milonopoulos of Somerville, and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Leo, George, Jimmy, and Charles Milonopoulos. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for his Funeral Service on Wednesday October 28, 2015 at 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
