Obituary of James B Nunn

James B Nunn, 91, of Peabody, died Thursday evening at Union Hospital in Lynn following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Mafalda (Dellorfano) Nunn. Born in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Robert Roy and Mary Grace (Gifford) Nunn. He was raised and educated in Chelsea and has lived in Peabody for the past 55 years. James was employed as a machinist with the Polaroid Corporation in Waltham and Forbes Lithograph in Chelsea before retiring many years ago. James enjoyed doing woodworking and watching all of Boston’s professional sports teams. He also enjoyed playing baseball in his youth and liked reading poetry, but his favorite activity was spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Lou Cersosimo of Peabody, his sister, Mary Grace Robey of Lynnfield, his brother, Robert E Nunn of Lynn, and by his beloved grandchildren, Michael L Cersosimo and Lori A Tufo. He was predeceased by his brothers Ralph and Wilfred Nunn, and 9 half sisters. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
