Obituary of Patricia B. "Pat" Mannion

Patricia B. “Pat” Mannion, 76, longtime resident of Roslindale, died on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Hathorne Hill Genesis Health Care Facility in Danvers. Pat was born in Galway, Ireland on February 23, 1939 the daughter of the late John and Mary (Geary) Mannion. She was raised and educated at the Galway Technical School in Ireland emigrating to the United States in the early 1950s, making her home in Roslindale. Pat was employed for many years as a clerical secretary at Gillette in Dorchester. She was a devout Catholic who had a devotion to the Virgin Mary and loved to spend time with her friends at Hathorne Hill and watching old TV shows and sitcoms. Pat is survived by a niece, Ann P. Gilmore and her husband Joseph Wojtowicz of Peabody, a nephew, Bernard F. Gilmore and his spouse, Hunter Baker of Chelsea; her siblings and their spouses, Christopher and Rose Mannion of Chicago, Helen and Seamus Keogh of Ireland, and Kathleen Smith of FL; 2 sisters-in-law, Ann Mannion wife of the late David Mannion, and Ann Mannion wife of the late Dennis Mannion both of Ireland, and many other nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her other siblings Rita Gilmore, Peter and Gerard Mannion, Paulette McGrath, Josephine Noone, and her longtime companion Bob McCarville. Pat’s service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
