Obituary of Helen (Ellias) Hodo

Helen G. (Ellias) (Linatopi) Hodo of Crowninshield St., Peabody died Thursday at the Shaughnessey Rehabilitation Hospital, Salem after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Gazi Linatopi and the late Adem Hodo. She was born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Shago and Mary (Pashun) Ellias and moved to Peabody in 1938 where she resided for the past 65 years. She had been a waitress at the Colonial Country Club in Lynnfield for over 20 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed cooking and had some of her recipes placed in the Albanian Cook Book. She also loved traveling with her late husband and had been a member of St. Paul’ s Church. She is survived by 2 sisters, Anita Jackie Ellias and Rita Le Blanc both of Peabody, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 4 nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Raymond Linatopi and the sister of the late James Ellias. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody .There are no visiting hours. Expressions of Sympathy may be made to charity of your choice.
