Obituary of Shawn Patrick Copp

Shawn Patrick Copp, 68, of Peabody died unexpectedly on Monday, December 7, 2015 at his home. He was the loving husband of 46 years to Barbara (Costas) Copp. He was the son of the late Albert and Margaret Copp of Cumberland, Maine. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Jason Copp of Peabody, a daughter, Captain Shawna Copp of Kona, Hawaii and Peabody and his two beloved grandchildren, Kali and Nick Copp of Peabody. He is also survived by his brothers, Danny Copp of Oregon, Gerard Copp of Stoughton, MA, Christopher Copp of Plymouth, MA and his sisters, Sandra Malomo of Bucksport, ME, and Dena Puliafico of Hanson, MA. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and Edward “Casey” Copp, a sister, Lorraine Copp as well as his younger siblings, Timothy, Kevin and Robert Copp. Shawn loved the ocean and shared many happy memories with his daughter, Shawna and granddaughter, Kali scuba-diving off his boat. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed building and riding Harley- Davidson Motorcycles. He had worked at the GTE Osram Sylvania at the Danvers Plant and later worked at the Peabody Municipal Light Plant. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:30 until 1:30 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody Facility followed by a Service at 1:30 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
