Obituary of Nicholas S. Valaskatzis

Nicholas S. Valaskatzis, 78, of Barstow, California died suddenly on November 16, 2015 at his home. He was the husband of Argero (Sevastakis) Valaskatzis. He was born and raised in Samos, Greece the son of the late Theologos and Irene (Stavros) Valaskatzis and had resided in Peabody before moving to California 30 years ago. He is survived by his wife Argero and a son, Theologos Valaskatzis both of Citrus Spring, Florida, two daughters, Elaine and her husband Theo Qirjazi of Peabody, MA and Irene Niki of Clearwater, Fl., a brother, George Valaskatzis of Peabody, a sister, Ourania K. Koutelias of Salem, three grandchildren, Emanuel Kane Karabas of Delaware, MD, and Hariklea and Argeroula Qirjazi both of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late Nickolas Qirjazi. A Visitation will be held on Monday, December 14,2015 from 10:00 until 10:45 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur funeral home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by Services at 11:00 AM in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church at 11:00 AM.
