Obituary of Beatriz Ferreira Coimbra

Beatriz F. Coimbra PEABODY – Beatriz F. (Ferreira) Coimbra, 91, beloved wife of the late Antonio C. Coimbra, died peacefully on Monday December 14, 2015 at the Beverly Hospital, while in the comforting presence of her family. Born in Belem, Brazil, she grew up in Moura Morta, Portugal. She came to the United States in 1963, settling in Peabody where she lived for over 50 years. Mrs. Coimbra worked with GTE Sylvania for years before retiring. Beatriz enjoyed going to the Peter Torigian Life Center in Peabody, and enjoyed social gatherings of family and friends. She especially was passionate and dedicated to her family, living with five generations. She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Antonio “Tony” & his wife Jeanne Coimbra and Rogerio & his wife Maria Coimbra all of Peabody, and a daughter Maria Lazdowski of Arlington; eight grandchildren, Jay Coimbra, William Lazdowski, Jennifer Nelson, Adam Coimbra, Christopher Coimbra, Alex Coimbra, Alana Garnica, and Jonathan Coimbra; eight great-grandchildren, Madelyn & Molly Lazdowski, Traeger, Taegon, Tauno, & Tarif Nelson, and Erica & Adam Coimbra, Jr.; two great-great-grandhchildren Noah & Tenleigh Nelson. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Saturday December 19, 2015 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
