Obituary of Stella Drougas

Stella Drougas, of Peabody, died peacefully on Saturday afternoon at her home surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Aristedes Drougas. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Cynthia Spaneas. She was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated from Danvers High School. She has lived in Peabody for over 68 years. She, along with her husband owned and operated the Wagon Wheel in Peabody for over 15 years.Stella was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and was the life of the party. She loved entertaining family and friends and was well loved by all those who knew her and will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Krisko and Cynthia Drougas, both of Peabody, her two loving grandchildren, Aristedes and Joseph Krisko, her sisters and brothers-in-law, Florence and Bob Haley of Swampscott, and Evangeline and Roy Hemmingson of Fl, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Peter and Gregory Spaneas, her sisters Marcia Haskell and Rose Tsatsios. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
