Obituary of John R Crawley

John R. Crawley SALEM – John R. Crawley, 51, beloved husband of Cara (Campbell) Crawley, died Tuesday December 29, 2015 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, following complications from a stroke, while in the comforting presence of his family and friends. Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late John J. and Shirley (Englehardt) Crawley. He grew up in North Andover, and graduated from North Andover High School. He then received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Lowell in Accounting. John worked as an Accountant with the John Moriarty & Associates of Winchester for over 20 years. John was an avid sports fan, especially football with the New England Patriots and Essex Tech Hawks being his favorite teams. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether camping in northern New England or fishing on a lake, or off the coast of Florida, Key West being his favorite spot. He was most passionate about his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Cara (Campbell) Crawley of Salem, with whom he shared nearly 20 years of marriage; a son Jack Crawley; a sister Kathy Morgano; a niece Emily Stoner and a nephew Nick Morgano along with in-laws David & Gwen Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Suzanne Swanson and Dianne Saumsiegle. A visitation will be held on Saturday January 2, 2016 from 2 – 4 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Friends and family are also welcomed to a Funeral Service on Sunday January 3rd at 12 Noon in the funeral home.
