Obituary of Marion (Ampeliotis) Christ

Marion (Ampeliotis) Christ, 86, of Lynn, died Sunday at the Care One Nursing Center , Peabody. She was the devoted wife of 62 years to Al E. Christ. She was born in Peabody on November 16, 1929, the daughter of the late Emanuel and Eva (Venos) Ampeliotis and was raised and educated there graduating from Peabody High School in 1947. She had been a cosmetologist and owner of Marion’s Beauty Salon in Lynn for twenty five years prior to her retirement. Marion enjoyed working in her garden and taking cruises and traveling to Greece and other countries. Her special time was playing the role of “Yia- Yia” to her grandchildren watching them grow and mature. She had been a member of the Philoptochos Society at St. George’s Church in Lynn and also the Forever young Society. She is survived by her husband Al, her daughters and sons-in-law, Irene and Timothy Hall of Lynn and Gail and Peter Lawler of Georgetown, her grandchildren, Christina Reale and her husband Michael of Lynn Timothy Hall Jr. of Danvers, Thomas Hall and his wife Tiffany of York,PA, Christopher Hall of Lynn, Nicholas and his wife Michele Lawler and Matthew and his wife Tristina Lawler all of Georgetown, nine great grandchildren, a sister, Katherine Asloglou of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by Services in St. George Greek Church,, Lynn, MA at 12 Noon.
