Obituary of Edward J. Garniewicz Sr.

Garniewicz, Edward J. Sr., of Peabody, January 6, 2016, husband of the late Mary A. (Murray) Garniewicz, loving father of Edward J. Garniewicz Jr. of Peabody and Maureen and her husband Michael Hastings of Hampton Falls, NH, Brother of Veronica Piasecki of Lynnfield and the late Louis Garniewicz and Henrietta Sitkowski, also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Kimberly and her husband Travis Condon, Kelly and her husband Doug Rogers, Patrick Garniewicz, Michael Hastings Jr., Patrick, Sarah and Jessica Hastings, his great grandchildren, Tyler, Kayla, Kyle, Ava, Matthew, Hanah, Connor and Koraline as well as many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from8:30 until 9:30 AM at the Conway , Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. WW II Army Air Corps Veteran, past commander of Polish American Veterans of Chelsea. Retired postal worker with US Postal Service serving on mail train to New York and Springfield and later at Revere Post Office for 30 years.
