Obituary of John A. Bisesti
John A. Papa Bisesti. 67 years, husband of Sandra J. (DiBlasi) Bisesti of Lynnfield, died unexpectedly Monday at the Union Hospital in Lynn after being stricken at his home.
Mr. Bisesti was born on December 25, 1937 in Everett son of the late Anthony and Eleanor (Caggiano) Bisesti and raised in Saugus by his father and step mother Phyllis (D’ Amico) Bisesti. He graduated from Saugus High School class of 1956.
He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1957 and served as an FTA2 until 1963. Following his enlistment he pursued his education and attended Franklin Institute in Boston.
In 1961, Mr. Bisesti founded Beacon Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration in Malden and was its President until his death. His company is well renowned in the Boston and North Shore area.
He loved and had great joy with his grandchildren. Mr. Bisesti was an avid member and President of the Peabody Kiwanis Club and also served as Kiwanis Lt. Governor, enjoyed the art of stain glass and woodworking.
Everyone remembers him as a person who was never afraid to come forward and lend a hand.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, John A. Jr. and Alicia Bisesti of Methuen, Michael J. Bisesti of Saugus, Steven J. and Erin Bisesti of Boxford, David A. and Genevieve Bisesti of Lynnfield; a daughter and her husband, Sandra J. and Christopher Shea of Saugus; 2 brothers and their wives, Dominic and Sally Bisesti of North New Portland, ME and Vincent and Mary Bisesti of Sharon; 4 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law, Florence Fasciano of St. Petersburg, FL, Lena and John Berube of Beverly, Frances and Fran Keen of Naples, ME and Dorothy and David Sylvester of Elk Grove, CA; 4 grandchildren, Samantha Shea of Saugus, Ryan Bisesti of Boxford, Noelle and John Bisesti of Methuen and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody facility followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Mass. Chapter, 129 Morgan Dr., Norwood, MA 02062. Cremation will follow services.
