Obituary of Michael Buttafuoco

Michael Buttafuoco, 59, of Peabody, died on Sunday at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington following a brief illness. Born in Winchester, he was the son of the late John and Virginia (Procopio) Buttafuoco. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1976. Michael was employed for several years at the former Almy’s Department Store in Peabody. Michael had a great sense of humor and was extremely generous to his friends and family and enjoyed taking care of them and spending time with them and sharing in all of their endeavors. He will be dearly missed by all. Michael is survived his two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Bobby Belmonte of Wilmington and Lisa and Hercules Kalogeropoulos of Somerville, his niece and nephews, Brandon and Samantha Belmonte, and John, Alex, James, and Andrew Kalogeropoulos. He is also survived by his long time care giver Ana Colon with whom she considered him one her own. A private family service will be held on Thursday with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
