Obituary of Joanne J Milaszewski

Joanne J (Mogavero) Milaszewski, 84, of Peabody, died on Wednesday morning at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. She was the former wife of the late Thaddeus Milaszewski. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Anna (Sullivan) Mogavero. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1948. Joanne was employed for many years as a sales clerk at Ann & Hope, Filenes, and finally before retiring, at Macy’s. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, bowling, sewing, but her favorite endeavor was spending time with her family and making the “World’s Best Brownies.” The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Beverly Hospital on J3 and J4 Telemetry Unite and Beverly Hospital emergency room for their professionalism and compassion at the family’s most difficult time, they are truly grateful. Joanne is survived by her two daughters, Karyn Milaszewski of Peabody and Gail Leppanen of Danvers, her three brothers, Charles and his wife Wendy Mogavero of Peabody, Paul and his wife Linda Mogavero of Peabody and by Michael Mogavero of Sarasota, FL, her sister, Betty Little of Salem and is also survived by her two grandchildren, Jesse Leppanen of Beverly and Sean Leppanen of Danvers and many nieces and nephews. Joanne’s Funeral will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM and burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Stroke Association.
