Obituary of Chrisoula "Chris" (Nekolopoulos) Weinberg

Peabody, March 15, 2002. Chrisoula Chris (Nekolopoulos) Weinberg, 67, of Peabody died Friday at the Salem Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late George Weinberg. Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Nicoletta Nekolopoulos and had resided most of her life in Peabody. She was a graduate of Peabody High School . She had been first employed with her late husband at the Vic’ s Drive-In Restaurant In Danvers for 10 years and for the past 14 years was in the Food Services Division of the Salem Hospital prior to her illness. She was a member of St. Vasilios Church and enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Stephen Weinberg of Houston, Tx., a daughter, Mrs. William (Stephanie) Christo, of Peabody; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Betty Nichols of Beverly; a sister and brother-in-law, Stella and William Foustoukos of Salem; 2 grandchildren, Michelle and Anthony Christo both of Peabody; a sister-in-law, Ann Nekolopoulos of Peabody and a brother in Law, James Maravelias of Danvers and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arthur and Charles Nekolopoulos , Beatrice Whalen and Dora Maravelias. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility (978-531-0398) followed by Services in St. Vasilios Greek Church, Peabody at 10:00 a.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Visiting hours on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
