Obituary of Paul K Foley

Paul K Foley, 60, of Peabody, died on Saturday afternoon at the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, with his family by his side following a sudden illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Marilyn (Habeeb) Foley. Born in Everett, he was the son of Mary (Hureau) Foley of Auburn, NH and the late James Foley. He was raised and educated in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School, class of 1974. He has lived in Peabody for the past 27 years. Paul was a self employed kitchen cabinet and counter top maker and proud owner of Fred’s Hardware and Laminate who worked throughout the North Shore and whom just recently retired. Paul was very active with his friends and family and enjoyed traveling and spending time at the Foley home on Pleasant Pond in Caratunk, Maine. While spending time in Maine, Paul enjoyed golfing and snowmobiling, but his favorite endeavor was spending time with his family and friends and watching all of Boston’s professional sports teams. He will be dearly missed by all. Paul is survived by his son and daughter, Kevin Foley and his wife Leigh of Belmont, NH, and Jolene and her husband Mike Harrington of Peabody, his brothers, James Foley and Robert “Buddy” Foley and his wife Joanne, all of Auburn, NH, his sister, Mary Foley and her husband Nick Seiler of Manchester, NH, his granddaughter, Lyla Foley and by his companion of 7 years, Laurie DeSesa of Amesbury. He also has many nieces and nephews, with whom he thought of and treated as his own children. Paul was predeceased by his brother William Foley. Visiting hours for Paul will be held on Thursday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Pleasant Pond Protective Association, P.O. Box 36, Caratunk, ME 04925.
