Obituary of Agnes F Martinello

Agnes F. (Keough) Martinello, 83, beloved wife for 61 years of Carl P. Martinello of Peabody, passed away on February 19, 2016. She was the loving mother of Gary and his wife Gayle Martinello of Beverly, Annmarie and her husband Mark Lenson of Boca Raton, FL, Paul and his wife Christine Martinello of South Berwick, ME, and Michael and his wife Marybeth Martinello of Danvers, devoted grandmother of Matthew, Paul Michael, Jacob, Alex, and Eric and great grandmother of Jack, and the beloved sister of Marie T. Keough, CSJ of South Yarmouth, MA. Born in Newton on October 9, 1932, she was the cherished daughter of the late Howard and Helena (Sullivan) Keough. She was raised and educated in Newton and was a graduate of Our Lady Help of Christians High School, Class of 1950. Agnes worked as an administrative assistant in the education, medical and legal fields. Her first job was at Boston College as secretary for Rev. Michael Walsh who later performed her wedding ceremony to Carl. She later was employed at the Landmark School for children with learning disabilities. Her life was one of total dedication to her family, friends, colleagues, and most especially to her husband, her children, her grandchildren and great grandson. Agnes’ funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00 PM. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
