Obituary of Anne M Simmons

Anne M (Kisilowsky) Simmons, 92, of Middleton, and formerly of Peabody and West End Boston, died Wednesday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Alexander Simmons. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Katherine (Hrycenko) Kisilowsky. She was raised and educated in the West End of Boston, later lived in Peabody for 54 years and has spent the last 6 years living in Middleton. Anne enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting, playing cards, and playing word games, especially words with friends. She was employed for over 12 years as Clothing Care Taker at the Hogan Regional in Danvers. She is survived by her two sons, Steven M. Simmons and his wife Sally of High Point, NC, and Alan J. Simmons and his wife Dianne (Talbot) of Hyannis, her three daughters, Joanne M Cleary and her husband Kenneth of Cambridge, Dianne Simmons Lightbown and her partner, John Doran of Seabrook, NH, and Robin M. Hess and her husband John of Inverness, IL, her 12 grandchildren, Nancy, Scott, Keith, Jeffrey, Kenneth, James, Sean, Robert, Curtis, LeAnn, Hannah, and James, and is also survived by her six great grandchildren, Kip, Tyler, Abby, Thomas, Peter, and Andrew and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Sophie Kotowski, Michael Kissel, Freddie Kisilowsky, John Kissel, and Janet Pizza. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St., Peabody.
