Obituary of Nina M. (Kravchuk) Roltsch
Nina M. (Kravchuk) Roltsch PEABODY – Mrs. Nina M. (Kravchuk) Roltsch, 62, beloved wife of Gary Roltsch, died peacefully on Friday February 26, 2016 at the Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody, while in the comforting presence of her family, following an extended illness. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Michael “Max” and Frances (Stocker) Kravchuk. She grew up in Peabody, and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1971. She then attended Mansfield Beauty Academy. She was a lifelong Peabody resident. Ms. Roltsch worked as a teller for the George Peabody Co-operative Bank in Peabody, and later in the cafeteria at Higgins Middle School in Peabody with her beloved coworkers “the lunch ladies” for many years. Nina played volley ball in the Peabody Rec League, and was a cheerleader at Peabody High School where she met her husband Gary who played for the football team. She was very devoted to her family, loved children and animals, and will be lovingly remembered for her great sense of humor. She is survived by her husband Gary Roltsch of Peabody, with whom she was happily married to for 44 years; a daughter Melanee and Daniel Collins of Peabody; a son Gary and Christine Roltsch of Wakefield; five grandchildren, Jordyn, Cameron and Derek Collins of Peabody and Jessica and Mark Sutherland of Wakefield; three brothers, Michael & Donna Kravchuk of Peabody, Steve & Bonnie Kravchuk of Middleton, and Karl & Mary Lou Kravchuk of Groveland; five sisters Francine & the late James Keenan, of Peabody, Linda & Paul Labrecque both of Maine, Toni & Michael “Arkie” Cassidy of Bradford/Peabody, Susan & Daniel McClory of Middleton, and Michele & Anthony Kolodziej of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews and extended family. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 7 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for her Funeral Service on Thursday March 3, 2016 at 11 AM in the funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
