Obituary of Stella Wojtowicz
Stella (Butynski) Wojtowicz, 90, of Peabody, died late Saturday evening at the Pilgrim Nursing Center in Peabody following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Joseph Wojtowicz with whom she shared over 62 years of marriage.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Rose (Stachu) Butynski. She was a life long resident of the city and attended Peabody Public Schools. She had devoted her time to her family and later worked for eight years at GTE Sylvania in Danvers, as an inspector for the lighting department prior to retiring a many years ago.
Besides her loving husband, she is survived by a son, Joseph J. Wojtowicz of Peabody; a sister, Victoria Bezuka of Salem, NH; a sister-in-law, Mary Butynski of Sterling; 2 nephews, Robert Bezuka of Salem, NH and Jack Butynski of Sterling. She was the sister of the late Joseph and Gus Butynski and Stacia Butynski.
Following cremation, a
Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Expressions of sympathy can be sent to the MSPCA Animal shelter, Nevins Farms, 400 Broadway, Methuen, Ma 01849.
