Obituary of William S. Whitcomb

William S. Whitcomb Jr., 62, of Peabody, husband of the late Diane (DeCarlo) Whitcomb, passed away unexpectedly at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation Center in Peabody with his family at his side on Sunday, April 3, 2016. William was born in Beverly, on June 11, 1953, son of Phyllis P. (Blodgett) Whitcomb and the late William S. Whitcomb. He was raised and educated in North Andover moving to Peabody 40 years ago. Bill was employed as a landscaper with several companies on the North Shore, and as hobbies he enjoyed motorcycle riding, playing pool and hunting with his dad. Bill will be deeply missed and in addition to his mother of Beverly, he leaves his siblings and their spouses, Donna and Dennis Brown, Martha and Ed Quintana, Marilyn and Tommi O’Brien, Margie and Jerry Rodriguez, Carol Barton and family, and Michael Whitcomb; 3 sons, William Whitcomb III and his wife Aliza, Anthony Whitcomb, and Michael Whitcomb; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. His Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation at 12 noon. A family committal of ashes will be held at a later date.
