Obituary of Eleanor D. (Cook) Krankka

Eleanor D. (Cook) Krankka, 91, of Laguna Niguel, CA, wife of the late Tauno T. Krankka, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 with her family at her side at the Mission Hospital Regional Medical center in Mission Viejo, CA. Eleanor was born in Danvers, on December 5, 1924, daughter of Emery J. and Veda M. (Collupy) Cook. She was raised and educated at the Essex Agricultural School in Danvers, and in 1948 she and her late husband made their home in Peabody. In 2010, Eleanor moved to CA to reside with her daughter Katherine. Eleanor was a loving mother who devoted her life to creating a home for her family. In later years she was so proud of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and most recently of her great great-granddaughter. Eleanor is survived by her children and their spouses, Donald E. and Dolores Krankka of MO, and Katherine L. and Richard Scully of CA; 8 grandchildren, Lauren Scully, Donald Krankka, Matthew Krankka, Roger Williamson, Teresa Bowes, Robert Williamson, Jennifer Bowes and Daniel Bowes, 4 great grandchildren, Sarah Krankka, Christina Krankka, Joseph Krankka and Rebecca Krankka, and a great great-granddaughter, Annabell Krankka all of whom she cherished. Eleanor’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, MA. Her celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home following the visitation. Her burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody will follow the services.
