Obituary of Christine Denise (Sousa) Fidalgo

Christine Denise (Sousa) Fidalgo, 25, of Peabody, died late Monday evening at the Massachusetts General Hospital after sustaining injuries in an automobile accident on Monday afternoon. She was the loving wife of Joseph M. Fidalgo. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of Avelino and Maria Emilia (Figueiredo) Sousa of Peabody. She was a lifelong resident of the city; attended St. John’ s Grammar School in Peabody and was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School in 1997. She later attended Endicott College and North Shore Community College. She was a buyer/expediter for Analogic in Peabody for the past four years. While in high school, she was a cheerleader for the varsity hockey team. She is survived by a brother Gene Sousa of Peabody; her paternal grandmother, Maria Sousa, her Maternal grandparents, Fernando and Maria Figueiredo, all of Peabody; her father and mother-in-law, Jose and Maria Fidalgo of Peabody; two brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Antonio and Heather Fidalgo of Beverly, and Paulo Fidalgo of Peabody; her aunts and uncles, Luciano Sousa of Portugal, George Sousa of Lynn, Fatima and Manuel Lima, Gilda and Norberto Silva, and John and Anna Lucia Tomas, all of Peabody, and also is survived by several cousins. She was the granddaughter of the late Jose Sousa. Her Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 9:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Friday from 4 until 8 PM. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem
