Obituary of Lorraine E. (Gibbs) Gray

Lorraine E. (Gibbs) Gray PEABODY – Lorraine E. (Gibbs) Gray, 87, died unexpectedly on Monday April 4, 2016 at the Beverly Hospital, following a brief illness. Born in Brooks, ME, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Burton and Hattie (Work) Gibbs. After high school, Lorraine attended the Wilfred Beauty Academy in Boston. Upon graduating the Wilfred Academy, she met and married George, the love of her life. They were stationed in Glendale, AZ while George served in the Air Force, before settling down in Peabody. Lorraine’s greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed braiding rugs, styling hair for friends, and gardening. She is survived by her husband George E. Gray; two sons and a daughter, her son Michael Gray & his wife Doreen, her daughter Randa Barbaro & her husband Paul, and her son Alan Gray & his wife Tammy; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A private family Funeral Service was held on Saturday April 9, 2016 with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
