Obituary of Robert T Gallant

Robert T Gallant, 77, of Peabody and formerly of Chelsea, died early Tuesday morning at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Angela (Quatieri) Gallant of Peabody with whom he shared over 48 years of marriage. Born in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Thomas and Melvina (Perry) Gallant. He was raised and educated in Chelsea and has lived in Peabody for the past 11 years. Bob was a self employed carpenter who excelled at cabinet making, kitchen remodeling and renovations among many other carpentry works he did. He was a proud member of the Inner Circle Car Club and a Board Member of the French Nationalization Club of Chelsea. Besides his loving wife of 48 years, he is survived by his son Robert Gallant of Danvers, his daughter, Jennifer Gallant of Peabody, his two sisters, Theresa Trainor of Winthrop and Barbara O’Brien of Billerica, and was the son-in-law of Mary Quatieri of Peabody. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Clifford, Francis, Freddie, and Joseph Gallant, and sisters, Lucy Nelson, Anita Gallant, and Genny Morrison His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St., Peabody.
