Obituary of Alice Pashby

Alice (Xindaris) Pashby, 86, of Peabody, passed away peacefully Friday evening at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert C. Pashby. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Stavros and Angelina (Tsintolas) Xindaris. She was a life long resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1947. Alice was first employed with General Electric at the River Works Plant in Lynn as a cost estimator and upon starting her family she stayed home to raise her four children. Alice loved the ocean, spent many summers at Crane’s Beach with her family. She also enjoyed boating and spent countless hours with friends and family on the boat. Alice is survived her loving sons, Robert Pashby of Peabody, James and his wife Denise (Kostopoulos) Pashby of Peabody, and John Pashby and Kimberly Van Horn of Dover, NH; daughter, Gail Derrivan of Newburyport; her four beloved grandchildren, Jennifer and Krystin Pashby, and Robert and Joseph Derrivan; her cousin and friend, Mary Koutsis of Lynn, and dear friend, Nancy Marshall of Beverly. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles, Christopher, James and Pericles Xindaris; sister, Helen Bulgaris; and her son Robert’s longtime companion, Diane Roberts. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 until 11:30 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
