Obituary of Leonard R. Ferrera

Leonard R. Ferrera, 69 PEABODY – Leonard R. Ferrera, 69, beloved husband of Linda (Reagan) Ferrera, died peacefully on Saturday April 23, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a brief illness. Born in East Boston, he was the son of the late Leonard D. and Leonora J. (Pizzano) Ferrera. He grew up in East Boston, and graduated from Boston English High School, Class of 1964. He later earned a degree from Fisher College in 1980. Mr. Ferrera worked in the insurance field as an Underwriter, mostly with Commerce Insurance, for 30 years. He also worked in sales with Sears, Tweeter, Etc. and Circuit City before retiring two years ago. Leonard enjoyed sports and following the Boston Red Sox or the New York Giants football team. He enjoyed electronics and technology. He was most passionated and dedicated to his family and friends, and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife Linda (Reagan) Ferrera of Peabody, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage; a son Timothy Ferrera of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Jo-Ann Pepicelli. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Wednesday April 27, 2016 at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Adelaide’s Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, MA 01960.
