Obituary of Anne Marie Maher
Anne Marie Maher, 80 PEABODY – Anne Marie Maher, 80, died unexpectedly on Wednesday May 4, 2016 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center Hospital in Burlington, following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Eleanor (Andrews) Maher. She graduated from Peabody High School and was a lifelong resident of the city. She also attended Burdette College. Miss Maher was an administrative assistant at GTE – Osram Sylvania in Danvers for 42 years before retiring 18 years ago. Anne Marie enjoyed dancing, and having family gatherings. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Suzanne Smith of Siesta Key, Sarasota, FL and Bridget Bettencourt of Peabody. She was the sister of the late Robert P Maher, Edward Maher, and Virginia Bitchell. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Tuesday May 10, 2016 from 9:30 – 11 AMin the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Ceremony at 11 AM.
