Obituary of Paulina Graziano

Paulina (Cardinale) Graziano, 89, of Peabody and formerly of East Boston, died early Sunday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Alfred S Graziano, Sr. Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Marianna (Raimondi) Cardinale. She was raised and educated in East Boston and was a graduate of Girls High School, Boston, class of 1944. She has lived in Peabody for the past 40 years. Paulina was employed as a legal secretary in the Boston for many years. She was also active in her community, devoting much of her time to Girl Scout Troop 583 in East Boston. Her volunteer work for the Girl Scouts continued throughout the summer at the Cedar Hill Girl Scout Camp in Waltham, including becoming the camp director. Following her retirement, Paulina returned to school to learn to paint. She became quite an accomplished artist. She enjoyed oil painting and tinsel painting, and won many awards for her work. She is survived by her loving children, Mary Phyllis Downing, Francesca Graziano, Paula Valentine, and Alfred S, Graziano, Jr, her brother Joseph, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Andrew, Louis I, Louis II, Cosimo, and Eugene Cardinale, Frances Mongiello, Serafina Di Primio, and Mary De Angelis. Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
