Obituary of Gilbert Graham M.D.
Gilbert Graham, MD, 74, husband of Roda (Levanthal) Graham, of Peabody, formerly of Long Island, NY, died at Salem Hospital on Friday, August 29, 2003 following a brief illness.
Born in Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Morris and Anna (Ginsberg) Ginsberg.
Dr. Graham was an Internist with a specialty in cardiology and Chief of Medicine at New Island Hospital, (formerly Mid-Island Hospital) Bethpage, NY. He retired in 1994 after 45 years of practicing medicine.
He was a veteran of WWII and served in the Navy as an electronics technicians mate.
He was an artist and a sailor. He loved art, was a collector and lecturer of African Art and was known as a Renaissance man.
Besides his wife, with whom he was to celebrate 55 years of marriage in September, he is survived by two daughters, Nina Lynn Graham of Manchester, CT, Cary Graham Browse and her husband Nicholas of Harvard, MA, and two grandchildren, Abigail Anne Browse and Rory Graham Browse, both of Harvard.
A Memorial servive Funeral Services will be held at a later date.
