Obituary of Florence M. (Cammett) Flynn

Florence M. (Cammett) Flynn PEABODY Florence M. (Cammett) Flynn, 77, beloved wife of William F. Flynn of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Sunday evening at the Salem Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Exeter, NH on November 9, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ann (Hacking) Cammett. She lived in Lynn during her youth, and attended Lynn Classical High School. After 33 years, she moved to Peabody where she lived for the last 46 years. Mrs. Flynn worked at the Candy Counter at the former J.J. Newberries Store at the North Shore Shopping Centre in Peabody. She later was a Clerk at Murray’ s Stationary Store as that was refurbished to become the North Shore Mall. She liked playing Beano, gardening, and mostly being at home with her loving family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by: her husband, William F. Flynn of Peabody, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage; three sons and two daughters-in-law, William R. & Louise Flynn and James Flynn, both of Peabody, and Donald & Gina Flynn of Salem; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Cammett and a sister, Edna Rhodes. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. John’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
