Obituary of Anna Tenedios

Anna Tenedios, 90, of Peabody, died Friday morning at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late George and Despina (Kyrlis) Tenedios. Anna was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School. After high school Anna was employed for 46 years by the General Electric Company in Lynn and then later in the Wilmington Plant. She was in charge of production control. She retired early to care for her ailing father who lived to be 100 years old. Anna was like a mother to her niece and nephews as she never married and referred to herself as “unclaimed treasure.” She was loving, kind, considerate, and generous with her time helping others. Anna loved spending time at the Century House playing Keno and socializing with her many friends. Anna was a member of St. Vasilios Church and member of the Daughters of Penelope. Anna is survived by her devoted niece, Denise Martwichuck who lovingly cared for her, her nephews, Michael and his wife Mary Lee Martwichuck of Lynn, George and his wife Elaine Martwichuck of Bradford, Dr. George and his wife Donna Tenedios of Pennsylvania, and Kerry and his wife Angela Tenedios of Danvers. She also leaves many great and great great nieces and nephews. Anna is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Tenedios of Peabody. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Martwichuck and baby sister Anna Tenedios and by her brother Michael Tenedios. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Paleologos St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
