Obituary of Amanda P. Zak

Amanda P. Zak, 30, died unexpectedly at her home in Peabody, MA on May 26, 2016. She leaves behind her dad Henry Zak, her older sister Christine T. Zak, and her aunt, Teresa Zak, all from Peabody. Her mom was the late Dorothy J. (Hughes) Zak, of Salem, MA. She also leaves her aunts and uncles, Patricia and Paul Marques, Vivi-Ann and Boyd Hiveley, her uncle and godfather, John Hughes, and her 5 cousins, Stephanie and Paul Marques, Jessica Gormley, Jennifer Hiveley and Matthew Hughes. Amanda was born Feb. 18, 1986 in Beverly, MA. She lived in Peabody all of her life and attended Peabody public schools. She received her GED in November of 2006. Amanda was gifted with a caring personality, being extremely caring and devoted to her family and many friends. She had empathy for others and lived her life based on affection, love, and compassion for the people around her. She always provided a listening ear. Amanda enjoyed gardening, painting, photography, singing, and playing the guitar. She also enjoyed going hiking, especially in Lynn Woods, and going for long walks with her dog Neko. Her family misses her so much. We will never forget her smile, how we laughed together, and the memories we shared. We love you and will never forget you. This beautiful angel was taken far too soon. We hope your wings take you to the best place there is. Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
