Obituary of Richard B. Patterson

Richard B. Patterson, 89, of Peabody, MA died Saturday at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford MA after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Alice (Tgettis) Patterson. He was born in Portsmouth, NH on January 13, 1927 the son of the late Brenton C. and Alice (Norcross) Patterson and was raised and educated in Wareham, MA. He had resided in Peabody for the past 55 years. Richard had been an accountant with the T.R.W. Company in Cambridge for over 30 years prior to his retirement. Richard was a veteran of WW II proudly serving with the US Navy. He was an avid sports fan rooting for his Red Sox and Patriots teams. He and his wife enjoyed taking rides and vacations around the states of New England. His favorite time was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren seeing them grow and mature. He is survived by his children, Richard B. Patterson Jr. of Hollywood, FL, Brian Patterson and his partner Robert Burke of Chelsea,MA and Lynne Ann Blake and her husband Steven Blake of Tewksbury, MA, his grandchildren, Tiffany, Christopher and Courtney Blake all of Tewksbury, and many nieces and nephews including his sister's children Jackie Osborne of Waynesville, NC and Christy Ransom of Mount Airy, MD. He was the brother of the late Barbara Patterson Nelson. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. A Funeral Service will be held there on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
