Obituary of James A. Miller
James A. Miller, 62, of Peabody, died Sunday morning
at the Brigham & Women’ s Hospital, Boston after a short illness. He was the husband of Brenda (Lancaster) Miller with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.
He was born in Boston on September 23, 1940, the son of the late Amos and
Julia Ann (Knisbell) Miller and was raised in Lynn. He later moved to Lynnfield and
was a graduate of Wakefield High School in 1958. He had resided in Peabody for
the past 37 years.
He had been a Tile Setter and Linoleum Installer in the
North Shore area for the past 45 years. He was a member and Past Exalted Ruler and
Current Trustee of the Peabody Lodge of Elks, 1409 and the Lynnfield-Wakefield
Lodge of Masons.
He enjoyed skiing and gardening.
Surviving him besides his wife are 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Sondra and Scott
Caddell of Columbus, Ohio, and Rhonda Miller of Peabody and her fiancé, Roberto
Lima of Salem; a sister, Julie Hallenborg of Lynnfield, 2 grandchildren, Jack and
Daniell Caddell of Columbus, Oh., two step grand-daughters, Elizabeth and Allison
Caddell of So. Carolina; his mother-in-law, Bertha Lancaster of Peabody, a brother-in-law, Lawrence Lancaster of Londonderry, NH, a sister-in-law, Donna Trentini of
Salem, NH and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. Burial in Cedar Grove
Cemetery, Peabody. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M.
