Obituary of Tania A (Diachisin) Weymouth
Tania A (Diachisin) Weymouth, “Miss D” 41, of Danvers and formerly of Peabody, died unexpectedly Sunday morning at the Beth Israel Hospital after fighting a valiant health issue.
Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of Walter (Dyke) and Robin (St. Pierre) Diachisin of Peabody. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School, class of 1992.
After high school, Tania attended Worcester State College and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1996. She continued her education at Salem State College and received two Master’s degrees in Social Work and Education.
Tania was employed with the city of Peabody for over 17 years as a teacher at the Welch School where she taught 4th grade and simply adored her students as they adored her. Tania was also a bartender at Champions, Peabody for more than 18 years. She was very social and enjoyed hanging out with her crazy crews, the “3 Amigos” (Karin Bettencourt, Julie Nelson Murphy and Leigh-Ann Manning Hough), her “6 pack”, Champions family, Camp Crew, her millions of crazy cousins, aunts and uncles, amongst other amazing friends. Tania was a member of the Big Brother/Big Sister organization mentoring her sister Kelsey Simonian for well over a decade. All that met Tania loved her!
Besides her loving parents, she is survived by her beloved sisters Krissi Diachisin, Dena Cocchiola and Alison Sweeney. And sister Nicole Farrell, her beloved nephew whom she adored, Dean Diachisin-Cocchiola of Peabody and by grandparents, Alice St. Pierre of Danvers, Marian Trueira of Peabody and Joseph Trueira of Peabody, by her ever supportive boyfriend, Jon Wojcik of Peabody and is also survived by her dog, Dozer. She was predeceased by her grandfather, “Pops” Kenneth St. Pierre.
Tania’s Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Danversport Yacht Club, route 62 Danvers to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Welch School, C/O Tania’s “Window Fund”, aka Tania Diachisin Scholarship. 50 Swampscott Ave, Peabody, MA 01960.
