Obituary of Diane Zapantis

Diane (Hamel) Zapantis, 68, of Beverly and formerly of Methuen, died Saturday evening at Beverly Hospital following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Michael Zapantis. Born in Methuen, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Hamel. She was raised and educated in Methuen and has lived in Salem for the past 40 years. Diane was a Registered Nurse who first was employed with Massachusetts General Hospital and soon after her children were born, she began working the Garden City Pediatrics in Beverly for over 16 years before retiring. Diane is survived by her son Thomas Zapantis of Beverly, her granddaughter, Ava Zapantis and by her loving niece Heidi Porter, and her sister-in-law Toni and her husband Sandy Porter. Besides her loving husband, she is was predeceased by her son Daniel Zapantis and her brother Kenny Hamel Visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. For
