Obituary of William E. Morrill Jr.

William E. Morrill Jr. 79, of Peabody died Thursday at the NSMC Salem Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Portsmouth, NH on September 24, 1936, the son of the late William E. and Eleanor (Courser) Morrill Sr. and was raised in Ipswich graduating from Ipswich High School. William had been employed in the Dry Cleaning Industry for 45 years working most of those years at Toomey’s Cleaners in Lynn prior to his retirement. He had resided in Peabody for the past 31 years. He is survived by his loving companion Shirley Pothier of Peabody, his two sons, William E. Morrill III of Georgia and Michael D. Morrill of Florida, his siblings, Russell Morrill of Westerly, RI, Richard Morrill of Ipswich, Jean Bowlen of Salisbury, Nancy Follansbee of Amesbury and Trudy Cole of Jacksonville, Florida and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James Morrill who died last year. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility with his niece, Jennifer Figueredo officiating.
