Obituary of Mary E Meagher

Mary E. Meagher, 72, of Peabody, died unexpectedly Monday evening at her home. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Curtin) Meagher. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and attended Peabody Public Schools. She had worked as a sales clerk for New England Divers in Danvers, and Bicknell Fuller in Peabody, and prior to her retirement, she worked for 15 years for the city of Peabody in the Worker’ s Compensation Department. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting, and traveling to Maine. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, John and Margaret Meagher of Peabody, eight nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William Meagher. Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. Ann’ s Church, South Peabody, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Thursday from 4 until 8 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy can be sent in her name to a charity of one’ s choice.
