Obituary of Carla J. (Bermani) Celani

Carla J. (Bermani) Celani, 52, of Peabody, wife of Steven V. Celani, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a lengthy illness. Carla was born in Lynn on November 25, 1963 the daughter of Mario and Angelina (Cellini) Bermani. She was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Technical in 1981. In 1989 she married the childhood love of her life Steven in 1989 and resided in Salem before making her home in Peabody in 1993. Carla was employed for 15 years as a medical coder at the Anesthesia Associates in Salem, retiring in 2001 due to her illness. She enjoyed family gatherings, spending time vacationing with family and friends and her many trips to Mohegan Sun in CT. In addition to her husband Steven with whom she shared 27 years, she is survived by her children, Gina L. Celani and Tony S. Celani of Peabody, her siblings, Andrea Sheridan and her husband John of Ireland, Angela Whalen, Mario Bermani, and Anthony Bermani and his wife Lori all of Peabody; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. She was also predeceased by her parents and her brother-in-law John Michael Whalen. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Friday July 15th from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
