Obituary of Stefan Paul Costa

Stefan P. Costa, 67, of Peabody died Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington after a long illness. He was born in Chelsea on July 4, 1949 the son of the late Frank and Matilda (Tomasi) Costa and had resided most of his life in Peabody. Stefan was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Mem. High School in 1967 and was an all scholastic in Footbal, Baseball and Track teams. He began working with his father at Lawrence Metals in Peabody and later with his brother, Paul, became proprietors for the past 20 years. Stefan had a passion for deep sea fishing and enjoyed going out for stripped bass and tuna and also fished the local lakes and ponds on the Northshore. He enjoyed playing hockey at the McVann –O’Keefe rink in Peabody for many years and also was an avid fan of the Boston Professional Sports teams. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Paul T. and Sandy Costa of Peabody, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Andrea and James Vugaropulos of Tyngsboro, MA and Denise and Dana Doucette of Peabody, a son, Paul J. Costa of Zebulan, NC, a granddaughter, Joycln Dupuis of NH and twelve nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Tommy Costa. A Visitation will be held on Friday July 22, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
