Obituary of Mary L. (Tambeau) Wilkinson

March 17,2002,Mary Letetia (Tambeau) Wilkinson, 76, of West Peabody, died Sunday evening at the Bridgton Hospital in Bridgton, Me after a short illness. She was the former wife of the late Edwin R. Wilkinson. Born in Melrose, Ma., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Collins) Tambeau and was raised in Malden and later in Saugus before moving to Peabody 48 years ago. She was a graduate of the Boston School of Practical Arts Where she studied in Art and Interior Design. She had been a hostess at the Kernwood Restaurant in Lynnfield and later at the Former Romies Oyster House in Danvers for 15 years prior to her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed Sewing, Cooking Traveling and caring for her grandchildren. She is survived by 2 sons and daughter-in-laws, Martin and Gay Wilkinson of Durham, N.H. and Edwin and Linde Wilkinson of St. Francis Me.,; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Brian Lightbown of Peabody; 2 sisters, Ann Eisner of Wakefield, N.H. and Marguerite Smith of Sanford, Me., 4 grandchildren, Nicole and Martin J. Wilkinson of Durham, N.H. and Andrew and Lauren Mushrush of Peabody; 3 step-Grandchildren, Angela, Vanessa and Brianna Lightbown all of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James and Joseph Tambeau. Her Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. From the Conway, Cahill - Brodeur Funeral Home, at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility (978-531-0398) followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’ s Church, West Peabody at 10:00 A.M. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Expressions Of sympathy may be made to Union Hospital Cardiac Unit, Lynnfield St., Lynn,Ma. In her memory.
