Obituary of Jeannette (Roy) Crighton

Jeannette R. (Roy) Crighton, 85, of Brewster, Ma and formerly of South Peabody, died Wednesday evening at the EPOCH Senior Healthcare Center in Brewster after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Daniel Crighton. She was born in Lynn, Mass on August 5, 1918, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosanna (Jeffery) Roy she was raised in Lynn and resided in South Peabody for 55 years before moving to Brewster 2 years ago. She had been employed in the City Clerk’ s office at Peabody City Hall for over 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody for several years and enjoyed being with her family. She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Peter Mc Gee of Orleans, Ma., and Barbara and Daniel Malloy of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., a sister, Jacqueline Mc Donough of Milton, a brother and sister-in-law, Charles & Helen Roy of Reading; 3 sister-in-laws, Clare Dunnigan, Anne Kennedy and Louise Crighton all of Lynn, 4 grandchildren, Jacqueline Matthews, Christen Ramsey, and Stephen Mc Gee all of Glastonbury, Ct. and Joshua Farrell of Tampa, Fl. 6 great grandchildren and many Nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 8:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’ s Church, So. Peabody at 9:00 a.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Relatives and friends are Kindly invited.
