Obituary of Rosaria Sorrentino

Rosaria Sorrentino, 89, of Peabody and formerly of East Boston and Revere, died Saturday evening at the Saugus Care and Rehabilitation following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Giacomo Sorrentino. Born in Marsala, Sicily, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Concetta (Marino) Mannone. She resided in East Boston, later lived in Revere and has spent the last 17 years living in Peabody with her daughter. She was the devoted mother of six children, Vito Sorrentino of East Boston, Frank Sorrentino of Pittsburg, CA (deceased) Anthony Sorrentino of Plymouth, Robert Sorrentino of Revere, and Johnny Sorrentino of East Boston, Rosalie Riggio of Peabody, her sister Maria LaManzia of Italy and by her loving nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Antonio and Antonino Mannone, Gina Bonomo and Giacomina Sorrentino. Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
