Obituary of Eleanor M. (Smith) Curr

Eleanor M. (Smith) Curr, 79, of West Peabody, died peacefully at her residence on Monday, August 8, 2016 with her family at her side. She was the wife of the late William P. Curr. She was born in Everett, MA on September 26, 1936, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Pelly) Smith and was raised there before residing in Peabody. Mary had been a teacher’s aide for 20 years with the Special education division of the Peabody School System. She later was employed for 5 years with T.J. Max store in Peabody prior to her retirement. She was an active member of many years at the West Congregational Church. She enjoyed reading books and doing puzzles but her precious time was spent being with her family. She is survived by a daughter, Kim Cyr of Peabody, a son and daughter-in-law, William and Diane Curr of Hamilton, MA, her grandchildren, Gregory, Jeremy, Timothy and Zachary Boucher, Karissa and Cory Cyr, Samantha and Derek Curr, and Faith and Grace Curr-Flynn, her great grandchildren, Patrick and Miles Boucher , her siblings, Archie Smith of Saugus, MA, Maxwell Smith of Tx, Doris Harney of Florida,and Marie Curr of NH, She was the mother of the late Deborah Boucher and the sister of the late Ruth Santosuosso and Emily Baker. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 10:00 until 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by Services there at 11:30 AM with Rev. Ralph Wetherington officiating. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Mem. Park Peabody. ,
