Obituary of John Edward Wilson
John Ed Wilson, 80, of Peabody, died early Wednesday morning at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Helen (McCusker) Wilson.
Born in New London, CT, he was the son of the late Roy and Elizabeth (McLaughlin) Wilson. He was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain and has been living in Peabody for the past 40 years.
He was a warehouse foreman for over 26 years for Eagle Electric in South Boston, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Friday morning senior league at Metro Bowl in Peabody. He also enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Kate and her husband Eric Dollin of Peabody, his two grandchildren, Aaron and Caleb Dollin as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late George and Roy Wilson and Irene Bresnahan.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. John’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
